Jumelle is a small, high-end boutique selling women’s clothing, shoes and accessories located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The owner of the boutique requested a renovation that could be completed in two weeks to minimize the amount of time that the store would be closed and with a limited budget.
Custom glass shelves mounted to the brick walls support steel clothing racks and provide additional display on the shelves. Floating, painted wood shelves were mounted to a slightly irregular and curved portion of wall and that curve was mimicked throughout the space.
An existing wood and glass jewelry display case was raised onto a steel frame and lit with a vintage, wall-mounted scissor style light fixture. A large Tom Dixon globe was placed at the sales desk and serves to anchor and reflect the entire boutique in its brass globe.
