The Cumberland Street Townhouse #2 is located in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene Historic District. The townhouse required a gut renovation including all-new heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical, as well as an entirely new layout. A significant three-story addition with custom-designed steel windows was added to the rear of the building. ERA facilitated approvals with NYC Landmark Preservation Committee for the façade renovation and window replacement. The top of the three-story addition provides a sizable terrace to the master bedroom on the garden side of the building as well as a deck with stairs to the garden below.

New finishes were installed throughout the house and historic details were restored and recreated to mesh seamlessly with all intact and preserved historic architectural details.
